Jamison Selby
Monkey King's founder is a game industry executive, entrepreneur and consultant with a wide-ranging background across the entertainment industry. As Vice President of Sales at Socialtype, he leveraged social media to drive exponentially powerful peer-to-peer customer acquisition. Prior to that he served as Senior Producer at TimePlay Entertainment, creating a new generation of location-based multiplayer gaming. He designed content for TimePlay's groundbreaking in-cinema gaming platform, adapted Deal or No Deal into a pay-to-play game where the entire audience gets to play, and let a legion of poker fans take on the best players in the world with The Real Deal at The Venetian in Las Vegas.
As Head Writer at ODVD Games he launched over a dozen games including the hit Shout About... line of DVD trivia games and Trivial Pursuit Featuring The Simpsons. His many years working in television included shows ranging from Sabrina, the Teenage Witch and Oz to The Weakest Link, Entertainment Tonight, The Insider and Duel. He also serves as chair of the Los Angeles chapter of the International Game Developers Association and is the founder of Downloadable Change, a non-profit dedicated to promoting virtual fundraising partnerships between the game industry and non-profit organizations. He holds a Masters degree from Rutgers University, is a Mensa member and a third-degree black belt in Seido Karate.
